Case Study

Child B arrived in January 2014 from another school out of the area. She had been at risk of exclusion and had an IBP with targets linked to attitude and behaviour towards both work and her peers.  She made a good transition within the first two weeks of her arrival but behaviour deteriorated just before our first visit to the KSA centre for our taster day.

We have found that many of the children have begun to view each other in a new light; some children their peers may have dismissed as `too quiet/too weak/too easy to dominate’ have demonstrated leadership strengths in the KSA sessions that have earned them the respect of their peers.  The children have also gained an awareness of how the actions of one can dictate the outcomes of all and we have found they are more considerate of each others needs and strengths.
